Mr. Purnama is Ph.D researcher at Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, Netherland under the LPDP Scholarship, by Indonesian Government. His research on Civil Society Organizations participation in ASEAN.
Hadi Rahmat Purnama was a Lecturer at Department of International Law, Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia since 2004. He teaches courses on Public International Law, International Trade Law and Human Rights. He was Chair of Human Rights Center. He is a member of Southeast Asia Human Rights Study Network (SEAHRN) and member ASEAN University Network –Human Rights Education.
He previously worked as the Chair of Research Committee for Strengthening Human Rights and Peace Research and Education in ASEAN/Southeast Asia (SHAPE-SEA) funded by Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), Trade Lawyer for Indonesia Trade Assistance Project (ITAP) under the auspices of United States Agency for International Development (USAID). As a lecturer for Law and Human Rights, he gave various training on International Trade Law, Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law. Additionally, he has been advising Indonesian government in several issues such as international trade, investment and human rights for various government institutions.
